A 21-year old dalit woman was allegedly harassed by a youth at Bokaheri village in Muzaffarnagar. Her mother was also attacked for opposing.
PTI report says the incident took place on Tuesday when both had gone for collecting water from a hand-pump in the village under Bhopa police station, circle officer Rajiv Kumar Gotam said.
As per the complaint lodged by victim’s mother, the accused Anuj Kumar was sexually harassing his daughter and when she opposed he attacked her.
The accused Anuj Kumar and his father Sharda Das were absconding since the incident, the police said.
