Realme has launched its latest device at an event in Delhi. The device is an updated version of the Realme 1 which was launched earlier in the Indian markets. Finally, good news for Realme fans in India! The company has recently separated in order to form an independent brand. The successor to the Realme series that was previously launched and became a huge success among Indian consumers.

The Realme 2 features innovation in the form of a face unlock 4320 mAh battery, 4GB Ram, and dual 4G VoLTE support. Howbeit, if you glance at the specifications of the device it does not come with too many upgrades than its predecessor. Considering the RAM which is 4 GB both on the earlier as well as upgraded version and powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC.

While the device does not feature a real mounted fingerprint sensor which went missing on its earlier model. Price and specifications of the Realme 2 in India are listed below.

Realme 2 Price

Undoubtedly price is one of the biggest concerns of the consumers. The price of the device is set at 8,990 for the 3GB RAM/32GB inbuilt storage variant whereas the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model would be priced at 10,990. The phone would go on sale in India through Flipkart on September 4. If you are looking for different colors then the device comes in three different color options namely- Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, and Diamond Red. However, the Diamond Blue color is likely to go for sale in early October. At this time, the Realme 2 appears to be the rival for the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and the Xiaomi Mi A2.

Realme 2 Specifications

The Realme 2 is powered by the Android 8.1 Oreo backed by ColorOS 5.1. The screen of the device is a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) in-cell panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio, a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8 percent, and maximum brightness of 360 nits.

The heart of the Realme 2 is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. It packs the Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB/4GB RAM and 32/64GB of storage. Another good news for data lovers is that they can expand the storage up to 256 GB.

The camera on the Realme 2 is a 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture). On the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor that features fixed focus. Moreover, the device is a myriad in terms of connectivity it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
